Re: Fanart and such
This is a drawing of the character Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead comic series. This is him further down the series. I drew this a few months back, and I'm pretty sure I penned over it to make it darker, but this is only picture I had on my phone at the moment.
I also have some more drawings of Rick Grimes based off the way Tony Moore drew him as opposed to the the current artist, Charlie Adlard.
Edit: If I find the penned over version, I'll toss it on up there.

Nex, I don't think I've ever mentioned this but I really like your art style and how american it is. It's cool.
Fountain, drawing animu is really easy and I distinctly recall giving you an instruction guide.
I prefer a really scratchy freehand style, so all of my art has a childish grimdark look ^.^

Re: Fanart and such
Yeah, I usually try to draw things based off of comic books. Anime & manga just seems like it'd be a bit too easy, so I try to stick to more western art styles. Thing is, I don't think I really have my own style, because I mostly just mimic other artists. Every time I try to draw an original piece, it's usually not too pretty.
I actually did draw a titan from Attack on Titan once. Hopefully, I still have it lying around somewhere.
I'll throw up all of my favorite shit later.

Re: Fanart and such
Don't feel bad. I usually have to imitate concept art and such. Next to nothing I've drawn is original. But I never trace. Tracing is cheating.
If you get up some more of your art, I'll get some more of mine up.

- Rick Grimes Profile View:
This is another drawing of Rick Grimes I did based off of Tony Moore's art style. The actual cover I mimiced originally had a shotgun placed against the back of Rick's head, but I never got around to drawing it.

Wow, that is amazing! That art style really reminds of the Dr. Seuss books. I'd really like to see what else you've got.

Daaaang, ya'll make me wish I disciplined myself to sit down and draw more. I mostly do a lot of absentminded doodling while I'm in class or working.
Maybe I'll get around to posting some eventually...

Most of my stuff starts that that way. Three hours later I make a thing.

I'm more like that villain from Jimmy Neutron that couldn't finish anything. TV shows, writing, drawing, sometimes even sentences/train of thoughts... Always only partially complete.
So, I guess I can make a thing, but it it only half a thing. Huzzah.
Re: Fanart and such
Yeah, I know the feel. I'll usually start a drawing and never get it finished. About half through most of my drawings, I'll just start going, "Eh, this is terrible. No. No. This is just bad. Fuck this, I'mma go play a video game."

Re: Fanart and such
I wouldn't say I'm very good, but I also draw the things, but mostly D&D characters and monsters since I used to take requests on 4chan's /tg/ board.
I also had a massive stockpile of finished art before a few weeks ago, but then my external went apeshit and formatted itself, now everything I have is unfinished sketches ;-;

cool!! I'm about the same. how do you like using a tablet? I can't use paper anymore myself for whatever reason I find it easier to do stuff digitally

Re: Fanart and such
I love it, much more convenient for storing all the shite I draw than lugging around a sketchbook, and use, digital work is superior because of the goddamn undo button alone.

Re: Fanart and such
Aha, exactly! I hit it probably countless times when I'm working on something, and erasing itself is nice too because it doesn't smudge or wrinkle the paper :l plus all the tools you need, you already have or can download somewhere. and if you don't like how its turning out you can just close it and open another canvas, woooo. and LAYERS I have no idea how I'd do any kind of coloring without em
