Masada's Pen & Paper RPG Pitch
I now emerge from my little lurker's cavern to pitch the idea of a Dungeons and Dragons/Pathfinder RPG that Fountain suggested a few days ago.
Now, we don't have to do DnD exclusively, this is mainly a pitch for "pen & paper" roleplaying with a defined set of rules (something I'm more used to.).

I'm definitely up for it. It being done over Forum probably makes me more into the idea than I would be if it were in person.

Might have to put in some sort of dice roller into the forum for this to work, I've seen one on one forum somewhere.

I've actually never seen that o.o
If for whatever reason that fails, the GM could handle the rolls.

There's actually character sheets and stuff like that that I can add to the forum. I have no idea how they work, though. I'll have to look for the dice roller if there is one. I'd hate to add the character sheets and dice roller and have them be in the way of other people who aren't going to play this one RPG.

If you don't want to do all that, you could use Die20. it is an online pen & paper rpg program.

Yeah, I've used D20 before, it's neat but a lot of the stuff is locked behind microtransactions...

Re: Masada's Pen & Paper RPG Pitch
Is there any practical difference between a built in dice roller and just any random one I could pull up on another tab?

Re: Masada's Pen & Paper RPG Pitch
nope, none at all.

Why not just put the links in the opening post of the OOC to the sites for the character sheets and dice roller?

I suppose that could work if the built-in features are a no-go.

I'd rather not make the forum look... well, tacky for one RP.

Indeed. It doesn't take any real effort to open a roller in a second tab XD

Re: Masada's Pen & Paper RPG Pitch
Welp, yer the bossu.
For character sheets, I would suggest a site called Mythweavers, which can keep a database of character sheets on one account.
For dice rollers, I think RPtools has one that multiple people can connect to.
