Me bitching about my ex, AHO!

So my ex had her new S.O. drop off everything I ever gave her on my car port. Everything. Video games, books, clothes, accessories, notes to each other, valentine's day cards, hundreds of dollars of jewelery, even our prom pictures. Everything. Boxed up like it was nothing.

This came as a shock to me, because we broke up six months ago on good terms and have remained friends and hung out and been there for each other.

I asked her new S.O. what the deal was, why she wasn't answering my texts suddenly, and why this happened without a word to me and without even showing her face the whole time.

The answer? She's been telling her new S.O. that I hit her, put my hands on her etc. Which is a blatant and uncalled for lie. I'm the victim of an abusive household and if I ever raised my hand to someone I loved, I would want them to just kill me on the spot, because I wouldn't deserve to live.

But. She's a girl and I'm a scary looking bearded guy. Sooooo. Yeah. Suddenly I lost her as a friend and her S.O. thinks I beat her, even though until a week ago we were still best friends.

Dunno why I'm telling you guys this. But I figure you're all my friends, so I can safely bitch without being judged.

No, but seriously, that sucks. I'm rather interested in how the S.O. was acting around you. Was he confrontational? I mean, she's been telling him that you beat her and shit so I imagine that he was probably a dick as well.

Considering that I know both you and her in real life and can consider myself friends with both of you, I really don't understand why she would do this. But knowing you, I know that you didn't/couldn't hit her, so I'm obviously on your side. <3

I was told that I wasn't a man and that I deserved to have my legs broken. I told the S.O. that I would accept the leg breaking and didn't really care if they wanted to hurt me physically, if they really thought I deserved it. I was cordial even though I was flipped off and insulted more than once, but not once did I become hostile, and I constantly reiterated that there was no way I would ever hurt someone who meant so much to me, and I refused to take the blame for something I didn't do.

I really don't know why she would do this. I don't I'm confused and hurt, probably even more than when she originally dumped me. I still want to be her friend and I want her to be happy, I honestly do. And maybe she's happy, but its looking like I'm not going to be able to be her friend. It really hurts me deeper than I care to admit.

I assume that even though you explained that you would never do that, he didn't seem convinced?

Yeah, it's a real bummer and it confuses me as well. I mean, what's the point? What could saying that even achieve?

Reading this really angers me. Girls like her are the reason when actual cases of domestic violence occur, they don't get the recognition or justice they deserve.

It's like those girls that lie about being raped because they cheated on their S.O. and didn't want to get caught. It's absolutely disgusting, especially when we live in a society that already blames and shames the victim rather than apprehending the abuser.

I am truly sorry that your ex would do something like that. I hope she figures out whatever is going on with her and comes clean to her current S.O. and apologizes to you.

Yeah its a complete load of bull. She did apologize, and claimed that she had told her S.O. that I didn't hit her but her S.O. didn't believe her. But. Whatever. She also said she didn't hate me and it seems like the only reason we aren't friends and she's being a bitch in general is that her S.O. exists. Tch.

I'm not mad over all this, and I want her to be happy. But I'm hurt.
