I want to mention that probably my favorite trope ever is This Loser is You or This Loser Was You, where the main character is pretty much an depiction of the target audience of the media. It makes characters infinitely more relateable, and it helps with the escapism.

Also, any trope done in the sitcom Community, only because it's super meta and the use of them is really well done.
