Politics and Such
Argue em here.
Idealistic Anarchy will always be the future I want to see. That or, ironically, perfect Communism.

Perfect Communism is Idealistic Anarchy as the main goal of Communism is to reach a stateless society in which all goods are spread out equally among the populace.

^ Too bad that, by definition, is unachievable. I'm more of a radical libertarian.

Democratic socialist and liberal here. A technocracy would be ideal.

I'm politically uneducated, what do any of those things mean? XD
I'm aware I can google it, but I'd much rather hear it from you guys.

Libertarianism is a belief that emphasizes the life of the one instead of the life of the collective. It's the belief that people should have the maximum amount of freedom possible in their own lives, and the government should exist to keep the basic tenants of society in place, and not to intervene in the lives of individual citizens or businesses.
It's the ultimate expression of freedom and liberty without the society collapsing into an anarchic blob of fuckery.

You know. I keep getting letters (as well as lectures from friends and family members) chastising me for my lack of voting. But I honestly cannot even justify why I should spend that much time watching debates and seeing political standpoints, to cast a vote that can be ignored anyway, for something that may not even affect me in the end.

The only thing I see wrong with that is individuals gaining too much power alone. Without some government interference, there would be a ton of monopolies.

Which would in itself form a kind of pseudo government.

Well, Scalia kicked it. Maybe we'll actually get some stuff pushed through the SCOTUS now.

I've been reading Brave New World recently. It's so much better than 1984, it's beautiful.
