Best movie of 2015?
We had this discussion last year, we'll have it this year.
Hateful Eight, Directed by Tarantino is obviously the best answer. The casting, soundtrack, and script are pretty much perfect.

Re: Best movie of 2015?
There was A LOT of great movies to come out last year.
From independent sci-fi thriller Ex Machina to George Miller's highly-praised Mad Max: Fury Road, it's really difficult for me to pick a best film of 2015.
I thought The Witch was probably one of the coolest films to have been released. A colonial era folktale that included old mythos related to Salem witchcraft; from the language used to the style of cinematography, I thought this was a phenomenal film that had a way of filling the audience with dread without using unnecessary gore/jump scares, while also having a cohesive plot that unveiled hidden depths to the characters that aren't generally seen in horror flicks.

You know, I had actually managed to forget that Mad Max had come out last year. That was quite probably the very best action movie I have ever scene, and certainly the only one that lived up to the hype.
Masada said something to me once about that movie that I have repeated countless times: "Watching this movie was so intense that it physically exhausted me."
Fury Road had like, ten minutes of exposition tops. You wanna talk about action, that shit is action.

I still haven't seen the last ten minutes of Mad Max because when I went to see it in theaters, a huge storm hit and knocked out all the power RIGHT at the climax. (I got free movie tickets though, so no big deal).
I propose we all watch it one night.

Mad Max? Hell yeah, I'd watch that again!
For me, Revenant failed to live up to the hype of the trailer. It was great, but the I felt a little antsy during the slower paced scenes. Honestly, the opening might have been the best part of the movie.
Legend was pretty good, but nothing too amazing. It was fun watching Tom Hardy act against himself while making it look real though.
Still, out of all the Tom Hardy movies that came out last year, Mad Max takes the fucking cake. Every single character in that movie was amazing (especially flaming guitar guy), they knocked it out of the park with the costume design, and the pacing, editing, and special effects were nothing short of spectacular.

Mad Max was mentioned and then we all made the glorious consensus that it was the best. We need to arrange a movie night and get Megan to see the ending.

I agree. Mad Max would serve as an excellent choice for movie night.
