I bring up gaming controversy and news in the chat alot, but I figured its probably much better form if I make a thread for it. So here's a thread about all the news nobody really cares about, brought to you by your good friend Fish.

BORDERLANDS 3 TEASED

And confirmed, actually. At PAX East yesterday Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said "Obviously, there is going to be another Borderlands." He also noted about the name "We don't even know if we're going to call it that.". The game will release on current generation systems (Xboner, Pisspour), and possibly the PC master race (all hail).

The art director for Borderlands 2 and Battleborn, Scott Kester, will return for Borderlands 3. Other confirmed staff include Mikey Neumann, who wrote both the first Borderlands as well as the Gearbox Brother's in Arms, will be doing the writing for Borderlands 3. Naturally we won't be seeing any more writing from Anthony Burch after his departure from the company to write Hulu original shows, sorry Handsome Jack fans.

A certain character death from Tales from the Borderlands may even be referenced in the new game:
Spoilers:
See you, Space Cowboy.

The game will be published, as always through 2k games, and Gearbox urges fans to look closely at Battleborn and upcoming DLC for future references to this upcoming Borderlands title.

When asked about the story of the new game, Neumann simply had this to say, in jest:

"Everyone dies horribly."

I'm extremely dissapointed with Anthony Burch's departure. I feel like it will have a negative impact on the new game.

Gears of War 4 Beta and Release Information

Coalition's Gears 4 just entered open Beta today immediately after its pre-order closed Beta from April 18-24. The Open Beta will be available for Xbox One owners with Gold Membership until May 1st. This report would very much like his shiny white Xboner to come in so he can go get rekt online.

Related, anyone who cares knows that Gears of War will be releasing this year, on October 11th. Or is it? On the Xbox marketplace, there is now a Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition available for preorder to the tune of a hundred dollaroonies. What do you get for those hundred smackers you ask? Skins, XP boosts, early access to DLC,  24 free multiplayer maps (2 a month for a year). All available on October 7th.

Thats right. Shell out an extra forty bucks, kids, and you can play GoW before your friends. Is this a good idea or a blatant cash grab? Feel free to yell about discuss.

>Quantum Break gets patch/update on May 1st
When asked whats in it, Dev's pretty much responded "Dunno. We'll see.", and the PC version of the game is quite glitchy, and lacks such basics as an option to quit from the main menu. Come on, really?

>Doom PC version to have uncapped framerate and advanced settings
In response to fan criticism over the Beta's lack of custom settings.

>Team YP banned from the ESL
Due to concerns about porn advertisement. YP, it stands for YouPorn. The ban has been maintained despite the team going so far as to even make google searches for their name pull up a PG website for the team rather than porn. Poor Team YP, they just wanna play Ultra Street Fighter IV.

Wow, and the creator never revealed what was in the chest in the last game and he goes off to make another one... (FNAF talk)

Doom looks like it's going to be amazing.

Well, Scott Cawthorn is a weird kind of guy. He also promised Five Nights at Freddy's 4 would be the last, and he lied. I'm more upset about the Gears of War thing.

It should be noted that almost every single gameplay advance that Doom is displaying is blatantly ripped from the popular Brutal Doom mod. The only thing they added that doesn't seem to be a rip off of a Brutal Doom addition is jumping. Id said they wanted to add a certain verticality to the gameplay.

Resident Evil Revelations Dev Wants to Continue Series, Explore Side Characters

Revelations Producer Michiteru Okabe and director Yasuhiro Anpo, who talk about adopting using the series to explore some of the mysteries not addressed in mainline entries. "I would also love to be able to continue Revelations as a spinoff series," Okabe says. "I think the best thing about it is being able to bring back less used characters. And it also lets us explore stories in between the events of the main games.

"So if we can keep making games that focus on the fans I expect the fans would keep enjoying them too ... I'd want to strengthen that, and if we kept Revelations going in the same horror style I think players would be happy with that."

Reports have suggested Resident Evil 7 is in development at Capcom and will be announced next month at E3 2016. Although Capcom has not announced the title, it will reportedly return to the franchise's horror roots. Jordan Amaro, who previously worked on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and P.T. (Silent Hills), is seemingly involved with the project.

Well, here's a clip of a new game I'm excited for. We Happy Few.

The game is set in the fictional retro-futuristic dystopia Wellington Wells, England in the year 1964 after an alternate-history World War II; in the game's version, Germany successfully commenced Operation Sealion and invaded England. To thwart the invasion, the citizens of Wellington Wells instigated an incident (referred to only as "A Very Bad Thing") that, while it drove the Nazis out of England, was so horrible that Wellington Wells was stricken with guilt; to cope and prevent their guilt from collapsing their society, the city has resorted to taking dosages of Joy, a drug that makes the citizens forget about everything bad that has ever happened to them, including the "Very Bad Thing."

The player controls a Downer, or someone who chooses not to take Joy. In Wellington Wells, Downers are not only frowned upon, but actively attacked if spotted and identified, and forced to ingest Joy until they are one of the many again. The Downer's goal is to escape the city by finding a hatchway that leads out, while avoiding suspicion from Joy-crazed citizens and obtaining food and water to survive. The Downer must be careful, however; stealing food and water from homes may raise suspicion. If the Downer's suspicion level goes too high, the citizens or even the police may actively chase and attempt to subdue the Downer, and get them to fit back into society with any means necessary, including brute force. The Downer can blend in with the citizens for short amounts of time, by taking small dosages of Joy, but taking too much can cause the Downer to forget their mission completely, and become just another eternally smiling face of We Happy Few. And no one wants to be that happy all the time.

Pokémon Go is getting an update soon.

It will feature trading and possibly more stable servers, as well as more ways to interact with Pokéstops.
