You try and stand back up. You're in quite a bit of pain and feel an immense itch in the arm you landed on.

You judge from how slowly he moves that running out into the hall for another torch is unnecessary, but you should probably avoid getting grabbed again.

You wait until the skeleton is closer to you than the torch...

Then start running and dive to the opposite end of the room where the torch is, grab it, and quickly scramble back on your feet!

>Scared as you are of skeletons and the sort, you feel Skullface here has quite overstayed his welcome and needs firm pelvis-kicking in the form of torch-to-face. You let out some sort of rebel yell and try to look as fearsome as possible.

You don't want this to end just yet. You decide to have a little fun before you... heat him up.

You start running at Bonehead, then jump into the air and ready your torch for a heavy swing.

You slam the torch across Skull's face and it makes a satisfying *CRACK*.

You easily knock most of his face off. You feel like you're on fire and that busting Bonehead is the only way to put it out.
On his knees now. You aren't thinking at all anymore, only that he's vulnerable and about to become a pile of dust.
You keep hammering away with the torch. Whatever wood it's made of is quite strong.

You shove the end of the torch into your handiwork and stare. You begin to chuckle slightly, eyes tearing up.
You aren't sure what that was. That's never happened before. You feel pretty exhausted.

[switching art programs back to one I'm familiar with. Still trying to adjust.]

>Yep, that exhausted you pretty hard, you plop down on the old pew behind you.
You cautiously stare at your shaking hands, then at the now burning pile of bones and dust you've created.
You're not exactly sure what that was. It was your first fight ever. You wonder if they're always like that.
You keep staring, finding a morbid sense of comfort in the flames.

You shake your head at the thought. Of course you were! This place must be getting to you already.

You pick it up, undo is string keeping it closed and peer inside.

It's... empty? Wait, no. You reach inside and feel nothing, but your hand keeps going.
You keep reaching in until you notice...

It's much deeper than it looks. You think it may be magical. Also you finally feel something!
There are a few things inside: a metal flask, a strange glowing crystal, and... somehow unspoiled meat rations, two of which you immediately consume, leaving 3. Finally...

ACQUIRED: STRANGE CRYSTAL, FLASK, MEAT RATIONS

That candle went off to the side somewhere when we fought Bonerhard. I'm pretty sure it went out. Also, I don't think you can light a torch with a candle.

You think it may have once been a storage. There's a rack with some old, rusty weapons, another small door on the far end that looks like the one from the opposite room. There are also some urns in the corner near a wooden box.

[Sorry about the hiatus, was experimenting with other stuff.]

You first check the weapon rack. Looks like there's some more human-sized weapons propped in it.
The spear is a little warped and the axe is very dull, and both are covered in rust and dust. You're not sure if they're still usable; since you do not know anything about weapons. You decide to leave them be for now.

The wooden crate is empty, but the urns are full of black stuff. It's powdery and smells weird. You aren't sure what this is.
